The Forbes Five: Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artists 2012

Forbes releases its list of the top five wealthiest hip-hop artists of 2012.

1. Sean “Diddy” Combs - $550 million (Ciroc vodka brand, Sean John and Enyce clothing, Blue Flame marketing firm Bad Boy Worldwide record label)
2. Jay-Z - $460 million (New Jersey Nets, 40/40 Club chain, Translation ad firm, Carol’s Daughter cosmetics company)
3. Dr. Dre - $270 million (Beats Electronics)
4. Birdman - $125 million (Cash Money Records)
5. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson - $110 million
